How the site came to be...
After trying for a couple years to find a way into the sports industry, whether art related or not, I began working full time as a graphic designer in 1998, yet I continued to have an eye toward my goals. A trip to visit a friend in Charlotte in the spring of 2002, through the racing capital, inspired me to take up motorsports designs. Throughout the summer I did drawings both on the computer and by hand and was fortunate enough to be able to do a car design for Truex Motorsports for the 2003 season. Upon seeing the car on completion I decided to build a website both for my new business and as a personal hobby. The site was launched on 4/11/03 and is now a home for Michael Miceli Design at RaceArtist.com.
I grew up in Wanaque, NJ and currently make my home in Jefferson Township, NJ.
